Your photos are treated with the utmost care and respect, after scanning them to the computer they are packaged ready to be returned to you, in the same condition we received them.
We use high-quality scanning equipment and scan your photos at a minimum 400dpi resolution to transfer to digital format using Digital ICE technology.
Your photos can be various sizes upto A4 size. Even small photos will look great on a big screen, when scanning we can increase the size of the image without losing any clarity (your original photo is returned untouched).
After scanning your photos, each photo will be assessed for the amount of enhancement necessary to improve the quality.
Some photos need only a brightness or contrast adjustment, while others need a little more attention.
If some of your old black and white photos are looking a little tired and shabby, don't be afraid to submit them - we may still be able to improve them.
Our enhancement service includes the following;
Your original photos are returned to you untouched, and as well as your movie on DVD you will receive a FREE CD containing your enhanced photos.
We can transfer 35mm, 5cm x 5cm mounted slides and 35mm negatives to a movie on DVD.
Slides are scanned at a minimum 4800dpi
Negatives are scanned at a minimum 1200dpi
Using high-quality scanning equipment with Digital ICE technology, they are transferred to digital format.
Each image is assessed individually and is cropped and enhanced accordingly.
We can only scan slides in proper mounts, they will be scanned in the sequence they are stored in the tray/box.
It is sometimes impossible to tell which is the "view-side", please mark the slide or put in "other information" on the order form if there is any doubt of the correct orientation.
Please choose your better quality slides, generally a very dark slide will produce a very dark image.
We scan negatives in strips and crop accordingly. If you do not require all the photos in the strip, please use the number found on the edge of the strip and list in "other information" on the order form. This number can also be used to indicate the order in which the negatives should appear on your DVD.
Our enhancement service is included in the price and will greatly improve the image quality on your DVD.
You can have a combination of photos, slides and negatives for your movie on DVD.
